We’ve been using Blink cameras for at least 7 years.
I first suggested cameras to my wife, when we were dating and she was concerned about some drama with an ex.
She did some research and found the Blink cameras were the best for her needs. Low cost. Ease of operation. Simple to install and add more cameras to the system.
Every where we have lived we’ve had Blink cameras indoor and outdoor. They have performed wonderfully.
We travel a lot when I’m doing Crime Travel Writing and these cameras give us a peace of mind. We can check on things at home while we are gone. We can watch our pets, and make sure they are OK.
I remember my wife was sitting in a waiting area, and she checked the camera, and the sounds of nature with crickets and spring peepers at night filled the room, and a lady asked what it was. She loved the sound. Not only is the video excellent but the sound is too.
These cameras have a very sensitive motion detector. They will detect motion in a reflection, or at a great distance.
The night vision is great. We have watched coons, skunks, possums and stray cats sneaking around.
We also caught a thief trying to break into my wife’s car. We were able to give the video to the police through email, and post the video online to catch the guy.
One time, we were traveling, and we saw a neighbors house burning down. Our cameras detected the firemen standing in our front yard.
These cameras have been fun and useful. We have several mounted and we have a floater cam. We move this camera around if needed.
We move it to watch for package delivery and fight package theft.
We also move it to answer questions about what our pets do when we are gone. We have wonderful videos of pets who have now passed on.
I recommend these cameras if you want a simple, easy system, that has an initial low cost. Our cameras are older so we purchased them for less than the cameras are today. But, one camera today costs $99.00 unless it’s on sale. You easily install it yourself and set it up in minutes. You watch it through your smart phone. It will alert you when motion is detected.
They can be mounted or just set on a table or any where.
You can purchase one camera at a time, and then add them to the system. That is what we did. Our system has grown over the years. This is cheaper on the short term, but you can get discounts for purchasing more cameras at one time.
They have indoor and outdoor models. We watch our pets with an indoor cam.
It comes with a way to mount them. The cameras are separate from the mounting bracket. (Newer models might mount differently or have other slight differences,)
We have had fun and security with these cameras. I have never regretting getting them, and now that I have them I will not go back to living without some kind of security camera at home. Check out review for the Night Vision Capability of Blink Cameras
