Review By Chris Bunton
I watched The Hitman’s Bodyguard on Redbox and I loved it. Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson do a great job, with this action packed, humor laced flick.
Reynolds plays a ruined bodyguard who is dragged into protecting Jackson, who plays a Hitman, about to testify against a criminal politician. Reynolds and Jackson’s characters have a history with each other which makes this pairing explosive and hilarious.
The Criminal Politician is the leader of Belarus, who is on trial at The Hague for genocide. He commands an army of Russian assassins who work to stop anyone from testifying against their leader. He is played by Gary Oldman.
During the course of the movie Jackson tries to help Reynolds with his love interest, while Jackson continues to swoon his own wife played by Salma Hayek who is in prison, and works to secure her release.
The film is fun and has a great cast. It was directed by Patrick Hughes and written by Tom O’ Conner. It would be a wonderful evening sitting at home watching flicks.
