Blink Camera Nightvision

Review by Chris Bunton

If you are interested in True Crime, and the things written on The Yard: Crime Blog, then you know that bad things happen, and that it can happen to you.

It is important that we protect ourselves and our loved ones.

Here on The Yard, we have started posting affiliate links so that people can find products to protect themselves and loved ones. Crime is real, and it happens when we least expect it. We need to be prepared for when it comes.

I previously posted a review of Blink Cameras, telling about my experiences with them.

We have been using Blink Cameras for years and love them. Read the review HERE.

We have never had a problem with them at all. They are easy to install and operate.

I’d like to show you some night vision videos from our cameras. Because let’s face it. If a problem occurs, it’s typically at night.

We caught a guy breaking into my wife’s car one time. But, typically we see a lot of critters, like the ones on video here.

When we travel, it’s great to check things out at home. Or when we are at work, we can see if a package got delivered and be ready to bust anyone who steals it. It’s also great for watching pets.

There have been complaints about storage capacity. We have never had a problem. The cameras store hundreds of videos, and any videos worth keeping can be emailed or sent by text messages, which stores them for free if you want to keep an important video.

Sure, they are more hands on. You need to delete useless video clips, after checking. Which for average use is fine. The process is about the same as deleting emails. You click a button and it marks all the videos you don’t need. Then, hit delete and they are gone.

You might want a different type of camera if your tracking customers and employees or property over long periods of time and you do not want to be involved with the process. Or you can purchase long term storage. However, for the average home owner. These cameras are perfect.

These cameras work through the internet and will give you peace of mind. We have them mounted and we have a camera we move around to capture video wherever we want. It has been very useful to us.

True Crime: In Loving Memory of Sherry Lewis

True Crime By Dennette Bender (Russell) It was not a typical Friday in 1994. It was the first day of the annual Decatur Celebration, a day many in central Illinois looked forward to. It was the marking of another great midwestern summer. Local corn harvesting, farming, and vacations were coming to an end. Children were…

Serial Killer: Michael J. Swango

True Crime By Chris Bunton I love to travel, and as part of my travel plans I research criminals and crime locations. Recently, I traveled to Quincy, Illinois, where I discovered that the Serial Killer named Michael Swango was raised there. So, I checked out some of the sites associated with him. He was born…

Flash Fiction by William Kitcher As soon as she sat beside me at the bar, I was skeptical. Too calculatedly down-market. I definitely liked the look of her: unusually beautiful face, very high cheekbones, a slight overbite that caused her smile to be intriguing and confusing, a vague scar that meandered from the side of…
