Movie Review: I Care a Lot

Movie Review by Chris Bunton

I will just say that I hated the villain of this movie, more than I have ever hated another villain. I literally wanted her to die. This tells me that the casting, acting, and writing on this movie were great.

Marla Grayson is a legal guardian who swindles elderly people, and uses the system to do it legally. She is played by Rosamund Pike, whose smile in the movie just fits the part. She does an excellent job, and she won a Golden Globe for the role.

Ms. Grayson happens to swindle the wrong elderly woman, named Jennifer Peterson which opens the door for a lot of interesting things to happen. Peterson is played by Dianne Wiest, and her son is played by Peter Dinklage. Both of whom are wonderful.

I seriously do not want to give anything away in the movie. So, I will just say that it was written, directed and produced by J. Blakeson. It was also produced by Ben Stillman, Teddy Schwarzman, and Michael Heimler.

What bothers me was the fact that the con that Marla Grayson pulls, is probably actually happening all over the country. The story was creative, and I do not want to ruin it for you. It’s on Netflix.

  1. This movie is an eye opener. 🥺Sadly someone in the world is doing this. I hope judges review these cases better. She played the character well, and I was hoping for her demise. But I won’t say too much🤐
